About Me

Meet Reggie, Reggie is a Boston Terrier cross, he is 2 years old and a lovely lad.

Reggie came from a home where there were many dogs. It became a bit much for the owners and therefore he is looking for a new home with plenty of space to call his own. Reggie is quite a shy dog but loves the people he trusts.

Reggie is a lovely dog and he loves nothing more than to have someone to stroke and scratch him. However, his exposure to everyday life has been limited. Due to this, he has very little experience being in new locations or even walking on a lead and the expectations of his new owners must be realistic that he may take a while to get used to new things in life. Although he is small, he may not be the type of dog you can walk around a retail park or take to the local coffee shop or pub. He is a brachycephalic breed, therefore he isn’t the type of dog you would take on long walks up the Malvern Hills during the warm weather. Research in to the breed is a must.

Due to the lack of exposure Reggie has had in the big wide world, he will need a patient owner who can introduce him to everything slowly and at a pace that suits him. Think of him a a puppy, everything new must be great, exciting and possibly frightening so it will be a careful balance of not overwhelming him.

Reggie could live with young children as long as they have experience with smaller sensitive dogs.

Reggie did struggle living with other dogs and has never lived with a cat. Therefore we would be looking to rehome him as the only pet in the home. Reggie has only met very small dogs. At the shelter we are introducing him more and more to different breeds and sizes to help expand who he is comfortable with.
