Meet the dashing Daz! Daz found himself here at WARS after concluding his lengthy racing career. Since coming in Daz is proving himself to be the utter gentleman both onsite and offsite.

No doubt his gorgeous appearance and stripes have captured your eye but his bubbly, yet easy going nature will make you fall in love with him.

Despite his size Daz is a very gentle and sweet boy, that has lots of love to give, he will make the most amazing addition to his new family.

As Daz is an ex-racing greyhound, he has never lived in a home, he will need a gentle and understanding home that’ll help with his toilet training and continuing his socialisation, so he can join his new family on many adventures for years to come.

Daz is looking for a family home with children 10+, he can live with another medium to large dog, as long as they got along at the shelter. However, Daz would be unable to live with cats and small animals as he has a prey drive and is still adjusting from his life as a racing greyhound.

He would like a fully enclosed garden. He is a typical greyhound where he will like to have an outburst of energy and then sleep on the sofa or in front of the fire place for the rest of the day. However, he may take some time to transition into a pet, as he has only ever lived in kennels.

Although Daz walks REALLY well on the lead, he will need an owner who is physically capable of holding him if he were to use all of his powerful legs on a nearby squirrel. Because of this all greyhounds at WARS wear muzzles on their walks, this is to protect wildlife and any smaller dogs, if they are off lead and maybe run up to your newly rehomed greyhound. It will be required upon rehoming that you keep muzzles on when out and about.
